My Best RX-8 Compliment So Far.....
Okay, I had the 8 all washed and looking really sweet. I'm sitting, waiting to cross traffic to pick my son up at school, when I see coming toward me a silver (like the color) Ferrari 360 Modena. I'm, of course, drooling. As the guy goes by, he looks at my car, and just stares at it. He even strained his neck looking back at it. Pretty cool.

Funny that, I've had a 911 GT2 driver ask me at the lights how the 8 performs.
I suppose any real driving enthusiast is always curious about other cars whereas all the other jackass' just ignore you or want to race you to show their superiority.

I took the children to a Halloween party and when I pulled up the own of the house was polishing his Porsche 911; he stopped and said what a great looking car.
He continued this for 4 minutes looking at in inside and out, and when I drove out he watched.
I thought that was a nice compliment.

Had a guy at a gas station ask if I was with the Eagles.....he thought the 8 was a ferrari, and my last name at first glance is similar to some members of the org...this was last september, there were not many cars on the road then.

Again today, about 12-15 pple starred at my car...when I was at the gas station there was a blue mustang behind me that could have gas up somewhere else with open lanes but he chose to pump gas next to me... As I was pumping gas I looked at the mustang there was a lady at the passenger and back seat.... They starred at me and my 8. I was like wow... then I turned around then leaned against my car then continued on with pumping gas hehe. As I was about to pull out I let them hear my GReddy Exhaust zzoommm zzoooomm hehe MUAH I LOVE MY 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far only one time while getting gas did an elderly gent come over and stare and wanted to know if this was the new Rotary Mazda. He was impressed and really liked the car. While picking up the grandkids, other moms picking up their children have commented that they like the car and bet its great riding around in it. The grand kids think its a great deal to be picked up in the 8. Its a treat for them. Now that snow is very close they will have to get picked up with the Accord. The 8 is not seeing the snow in CO. I have a vision of doing donuts in the street not on purpose and not getting anywhere.

I was driving up the freeway, admiring a new M5 for a few dozen miles. I pulled into a huge, busy, gas station and started filling up. A minute later this guy walks all the way across the (huge) lot and starts asking me about my car. Turns out he was driving the M5!
