the longer i own my 8 the more i wish it had more power. Don't get me wrong, I still love my car as much as ever. I just want some more speed. Are there any other drivers that feel the same and how much extra horsepower would make you happy?

While having more power would be nice, it's all relative. My uncle used to have a TA and he said at first it was fast but as you get used to it, he didn't feel it as much and wanted more power. He sold it and got a mustang and at first it felt faster, but again as time went by, he felt he needed more. Then he got a cobra, the beefy one's, and it was plenty fast, but as time went by, it too felt lacking.

It doesn't matter what you drive, if power is all that gets your blood going then you will never find it. I'm sure the guys on the 350z forum are complaining how slow they are compared to a mustang, who are complaining how slow they are compared to a vette, who are slow compared to a 911, who are slow compared to a ferrarri who are slow compared to a...you get the point.

The 911 is not considered the best sports car ever just because it was the fastest, because it isn't. There is more to life then a straight line...

BTW, my uncle now drives a jeep cherokee and he loves it...

Before I bought my 8, I researched how much horsepower it had, then test drove it. It has plenty of horsepower for my tastes.

 

i bought a chip for mine. 300 hp boost. im happy with it. search ebay.

 

go drive around a SUV for a week and then get back in your car if you still complain then buy a jet

I think it would be nice to have the advertised horsepower Mazda claims.

But, eventually someone's gotta be at the top of that pyramid and be the fastest, no?

 

I guess if you have $450,000 to spend on a car, you can do just about anything.

If you feel the need for speed then maybe a military enlistment is in your future.
