You guys must all be in a good mood for the 4th of July. Usually everyone would be flaming this guy by now. As for hp, I just got rid of my modded Mustang GT. If you want cheap hp, and even cheaper upgrades, get a Stang.

Mutang is for you! Cheapest HP you can find and easy to get more . If you have the bucks and can do 2 seats get a vette. If you want to keep the 8, get a day at the track, it's what you need.
I wrestle with the HP, 0-60/quarter mile day to day. I kind of like the Evo X, the mustang GT has its ups and downs with a decent community. I can't do 2 seats and can't afford a 911.
I love my 8, it's a great club to belong to. The rotary is an amazing engine. The car is lovely, the interior is classic with it's rotary symbols and coffee leather. It is practicality combined with formula one racing.
Go Nascar, go drag racing and mustang GT. I'll stick with the RX. I watched formula 1, 3-4 second pit changes. Nascar was 10-20 pits. Who's really doing their best!? The rotary is proven on the drag strip and the raceway just not the one in your car.
Turn off the DSC and do a 6k clutch drop. The 8 is far from slow. It's just not a 12 second car for $25,000. On the track the mustang GT will be in your rearview.
I like the complete package.

RX8>mustangs,g35's,350z's
The only car that handles as well and has more hp is the s2000. but it looks ugly compared to the rx, has only 2 seats, and only comes in a convertible (for girls).

Well, for you it may be great but we get our power without the hassles of turbocharging and the extra weight. I miss owning a boosted car but I don't miss the hassles associated with a shitty kit and and I don't miss the expense of a good one. But hey if you have the money then the sky's the limit.

It won't. The greddy is about as cheap as it gets. If you want to save money, you can usually find a fully functional used greddy kit for about $2000.

Rotary , eh?

he said he spent "barely 50% more than that" So that should be ~$6,000. Which could include 2 motors, depending on where you got them, and how much he initially spent on the components he put together. Being that he has had to put in so much work on the electrical system and that he has gone through a couple of different turbos, and a couple different manifolds I am going to guess it is ~$6000 plus the cost of the 2 motors?
