Hickam was a great place for my 8. I miss that place! All except making the u-turn at the front gate everyday to go to work...

What fun it must be for you to drive H-Tree everyday! I miss making the dashed white line in the tunnel a solid white line, if ya know what I mean...

I was only in Korea once on a short TDY, but I drank enough soju to last a lifetime.

Be careful if you are going to drink that stuff. :)

Former Navy O-1 - had to get out early due to complications from a freak tropical disease I picked up on a midshipman cruise that almost killed me, and unfortunately now I'm 100% disabled. Guess my proudest Navy "moment" was my 3/c midshipman cruise - I worked crash and salvage with the red shirts on the Nimitz. That and getting my first salute from a Marine.

05 RX-8 AT with 13000 miles. Got it to have something easier to drive with my health problems, and have fallen in love with it and the rotary!

K, this is hard to believe, but the NEX in Pearl Harbor stocked Royal Purple Max Gear 75W90, as well as Royal Purple 5W20. In order to save shipping costs from ordering online, I would have stocked up on the 5W20 and brought it back with me to San Diego on the ship, but I have enough luggage to worry about as it is.

Certainly, you won't find RP at a NEX in San Diego. That would be ridiculous.

(NEX is the Navy's AAFES, for those of you in the Army/Air Force).

Most of the big BX/NEX's stock RP and some station's class six would have RP as well...

I did a Med cruise on the Nimitz in 81-82. For those of you old enough to remember, that was the cruise where we shot down those two Libyan planes. Those were the first "kills" for the F-14. The funny part is that the Radar Officer in the E-2C that vectored them in was an exchange officer from the Air Force!
