So Ford gets a 33.3% share of the profit? I'm so confused

Sorry, I just breazed through here really quick.

Is this a mustang vs. rx8 thread?

I thought ford made the horn for the rx8? is there more? Do I have to sell my car cuz it is a ford?
I love ford TRUCKS.
I HATE ford cars.

Traded my 95 Z28 in on my new RX8. Even with over 100k the car was tight. No rattles. Of couse the subframe connectors helped.

And yea, the LT1 was fast in its day. But a friend in a 2001 Vette would only be one length back at the quater mile. And he was bone stock (paper filter, etc.) while my car had a cam, headers, minor bolt-ons, etc.

Does St. Peter give you a free gas card in the mail too?? I heard that was part of the LS1 "Valued Customer" package!

Fact:

if you don't own an rx8 and you're trying to stir up this board, you are a loser.

I know that Ford has their hands in about 6 other car companies, it would not surprise me if GM was the same way. And the Ford fanboy has left the building so we are safe for at least 4 hours...hopefully 60 hours.

free gas card,....I wish

ProCharger GT: My first real car was an 88 Mustang GT. Had a blast. Right out of college and burning rubber. So,...I have a soft spot for mustangs too.

Could have traded the Z28 on a new GT. I really like them. But I wanted a light, nimble kind of car. The RX8 was it.

Fact :

Ford people will do anything to make themselves feel a little better about purchasing a POS.
I will admit - Ford has one thing over EVERY other car company ; they have the best salesmen. You know how tough it is to sell a ford? Those salesmen are pros!!!

FACT : Stand alone ford stores sell better than automall ford stores.
Why? you ask
Cuz who is gonna buy a ford when there is a toyota dealership across the street?

As far as I know GM is dipping in the following:

Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, Saturn, GMC, Saab, Hummer, Cadillac, Opel, Holden, Vauxhall.

Ford is:

Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover.
(though they dipped into Aston Martin too?)

Isn't Ford still in bed with Nissan and VW, or is my memory failing me again Dave?

GM also had/has a piece of Subaru. I don't know what the status of that is now. There was a Saab that was a rebranded Subaru recently.

Whatever...request Ford's annual report and they have a whole section most every year just dedicated to their stake in Mazda.

The year the RX-8 was available to the public Ford openly bragged in the annual report with regards to the chassis and the Renesis.

FORD.COM provides links for Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, & Land Rover

GM.COM provides links for Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Saturn, Hummer, Saab, Cadilliac, & (view more brands)

Second list (view more brands) provides links for Holden, Opal, Vauxhall, & Saab

Since Saab is in both lists I guess GM is really pushing them at the moment

If Ford is strapped for cash, they should sell their Mazda shares back to Mazda. Hahaha!

I hope your not insinuating something, and that the comment wasn't aimed at me. One of my friends used to have an 85 RX-7, and my friend DeViLbOi just got a new RX-8. I respect anything that goes fast, whether it be Ford/Mazda/whatever!

Bester - Very nice, my friend has an 88 5.0 - too bad since he got his ***** taken away by his fiance, he doesn't drive it anymore!
