I almost bought a SUV because the prices are so low, and nearly sold my 8.

No way. I just can't do it.

Anyways, after doing some searching, I still don't know if the extended warranty (more than the 4 year/50k mile that we have) on the entire powertrain (in addition to the rotary core that was just extended) can be bought in such a way that Mazda honors it directly.

To put it simply, who here has bought a Mazda-certified extended warranty on their 8 for powertrain or bumper to bumper coverage, and how much did it cost you?

Also, did you buy that extended warranty before at the time you bought the 8 or afterwards?

Personally I didn't buy it because it was more per month than my car payment alone and just felt it was not worth it...

I dont know about this car. but for honda is mad cheap.

My FIT has 3 yr 36K warranty b2b, 2 extra year of bumper to bumper warranty cost like couple hundred extra bucks.

but as always, its just not really worth it.

cuz most problem for any car came from the powertrain, and we have pretty long powertrain warranty already. no need to buy anything.

 

Is it aftermarket or Honda?

Yep its Honda care. Original factory extended warranty.

I got it because it was really cheap, they were dying to get some sales or some crap. I mean for a couple hundred bux, I use more gas than that ! why not.

but if its anything more than 1K. screw it.

 

IDK how they came up with it but they were like "this is your monthly payment' and then they were like would you like to purchase the extended warranty it's this much! I was liek does that include my car payment too they are like no that's just the warranty plus your car payment everymonth i was like no if the warranty runs out and i need someting fixed i will just fix it myself

 

Powertrain warranty is 5 years/60k miles, according to my U.S. dealer I spoke with this morning. Did not know this. Thought it was 4 years/50k miles.

They told me it was extended by a year and 10k miles.
