maintenence

Wussup all. im 18 and im really serious about getting an rx-8. the only problem i have is having to pay 500 for the deck install kit. another thing is that my friend told me that maintaining an rx-8. also, can someone give me a depth explaination of some kind of "carbon build up" ?

just gotta make sure you take care of it, change oil every 3000-4000 miles, and don't baby the engine. It has a 9000 rpm rev-limiter and the final valves open up at around 7200 rpm, so basically its better for the engine to rev it that high a couple times when you drive it in order to open the final valves up and keep everything clean from oil/carbon buildup.

well considering the engines are basically the same and the transmission is the only difference from mt to at id say it goes for both
