Dropped mine with Eibach and the ride doesn't feel any different from stock.

Mazdaspeed shocks and springs. More like a 1" all around. The ride is a little stiffer but worth it for the better handling and looks. I do have a sqeek in the driver door (only on rough roads) now that could be a result of the stiffer ride. Can't say for sure though it could be normal wear and tear. Going to have the dealership take a look at it next scheduled maintenance.

Guys, how long do the OEM shocks last with non OEM springs? From the posts in this and other threads, looks like a lot of people are changing only the springs...

Most springs are designed to work with the OEM shocks, but if you look closer, it will say to expect a much faster wear-out on the shocks.

I've had teins with oem shocks, runs just like stock except with 1.4 inch drop in front. Now I have jic coilovers, handling wise its a big difference, and ride is harsh to say the least.

Shouldn't you be able to vote for less than 1 1/2 in drop?

^^^^ what he said.

The Racing Beat springs I have go 1/2" lower, which was enough for me.

Ride is stiffer than stock because of spring rate, but that is what I was looking for. By no means uncomfortable.
