for that kind of money I would expect it in any color I want.

 

for the price of a lotus, they should offer as many colours as they do.

as for mazda, since they MASSSSS produce any of their cars, they don't offer a lot of their cars, because for each colour, they'd have to make a lot to offer to everyone. of course you could ltd edition colours i.e. shinka colours, but ****, even i loved the shinka colour, but could never find one. even though i chose lightning yellow over everything, because they only made a year of that colour, therefore slightly rare?, that shinka purple is tight. I love all the colours they offer.

I feel bad now too... I really liked Copper Red.
Honestly, I buy a car based on what it is, and whats under the hood. If I really like it I could care less what color it is.

Aesthetics are important to some people... I guess I was just lucky and found both in one car.

 

When I bought my car, color wasn't nearly as important to me as the options package and the price.

 

phantom blue mica is awesome looking in person, just beautiful. Stormy Blue is very Xmen, but its nice. If you want yellow, get one. If you want purple, get a shinka. If you want forrest green, go for it. If you want gray, go to a dealership. There are plenty of choices, is the point I'm trying to make. Including two different reds; copper and red.

 

I don't have any numbers to back it up, but it seems to me that there are a lot fewer color choices for cars nowadays than there used to be. While I'm sure they have perfectly good reasons for keeping the number of colors down, it is rather disappointing to me. The thing that really annoys me, though, is the lack of interior color choices. I don't want a black interior or a leather interior, so I'm in trouble as far as that goes.

 

Hey! Get the Velocity Red with the red/black interior. You'll love it! Now, stop your whining, y'all, geez. Velocity Red is gorgeous! Simply gorgeous!

hey, i love the white, i drive a nordic green and love it, black, greys, reds, blue, yellow, they all look good, but honestly...turquiose...not even sure how to spell it. what were they thinking! it must only come on the AT! lol, sorry owners, i'm sure your's look great once you tint the windows and fade to black!

 

When looking at his examples for other car companies with their color lists he mentioned lotus and lambo having 2 blacks, as well as mustangs... isnt black kinda a set color... just wondering cause I cant really imagine 2 different blacks lol

 

They have Velocity Red Mica. I didn't need any other choices.

 

Considered Lotus, also the Viper (very nice) - but liked the feel, low vibration, utility of the 8 - and the spirit of the thing -

 

have u actually seen a phantom blue in person? i wont lie when i saw the color on the internet i was like that is the ugliest color i have ever seen. i had already made up my mind to by a winning blue i loved that color, then when i got to the dealer and they had a phantom blue and winning blue there well obviously since i am driving the phantom that means something, in person the chamelleon (?spelling?) look is so nice i love after i wash my car and it just shines, more like screams. i also love when i get asked what color is that because when you were diriving up here u were changing colors. in person the color is unbelievable and i wouldnt trade it for any custom color.

Seriously, preferably neon green or purple. All they are missing is shocking pink!

+1. I agree with Livtorev. Are you seriously envying Lamborghini for their color choices? For $100-270k, you'd better have your choice of colors. I also agree with Ken. There are two shades of blue, two shades of grey, a pear white, black, and a really cool red. What else do you want? Pink?! If you are not content with the available colorways, I suggest you either:
a) Consider Custom Paint
b) Look elsewhere...maybe buy a Lamborghini or Lotus?

If you look at the RX8, to total, it has offered so many colorways--it's ridiculous. Compare all the 8 to the to like cars. It's a unreasonable complaint to compare the 8 with exclusive cars that cost 4-5x more. The 350Z has grey, black, and red (I think). They've only had one shade of blue and it is no longer available.

P.S.

It's not "turquoise!" It's PHANTOM BLUE! There's a big difference. Go look at it in person, the website makes it look monochrome and does not do it justice. It is the coolest color in the whole, entire, universe! But then, again--I'm biased.
