Midas

A couple years ago I went over to Midas with my roomie cause he needed some brakes. Roomie had a Saab 9-3 and I had the 8. The Midas shop owner guy seemed a little jerky and a little uninformed.

Us: Can we get some brakes for the Saab?
Midas: Oh no. Those are special order parts, we don't carry any foreign car parts, can't even work on em' we don't have the right tools.

Us: Oh. (We'll that doesn't sound right but whatever)

Midas: (Guy notices I've got an 8 parked outside, gives me a smirky look)
You know that things a rotary right?

Us: Yeah.
Midas: You know they've revving them up to 14k rpm in Europe? Look it up.

My wife is particularly disdainful of the Viper. I wonder how she would react if I referred to my R3 as a Baby Viper.

I have no emblem in the front so most people have no idea what I drive. I've gotten Sk2 and Lotus, but usually just a blank stare. I think it's the WB color too.

i think the reason people say this is because of the way the top of the car is concave. when i first saw my rx8 from the front thats one of the first things i thought. how the roof kinda dips in the middle.. i dont know could be just me. and i will say thats about the only resemblence i see. i could never "mistake" an rx8 for a viper haha
