hey guys , i have a friend whos got his eyes on a 2004/6-speed RX8 , she has 120,000 miles on it , the guy lives in California and he asked me if the car was good , all i had to say was 120,000 sounds a bit too much for a renesis but a compression test would be a good idea , any other ideas on how can he check if the car is in a good condition ?
and are the 2004 models the ones that had the Renesis with the oil issue ? the old model (correct me if im wrong im asking)
any tips would be appreciated

Point your friend to the new owner's thread. I probably would offer $2,500 on that just from the pics, maybe up to $3,500 if the engine has good compression. It's clearly neglected.

 

Get the price down, specially with that high mileage in it, good luck.

 

ill make sure he does , i thought the price was a bit high too , and it does look neglected , whats the compression that he should be getting outta this ?
