Looking to buy a Rx8!....
im looking to buy an RX8 (probably 04 or 05) ive loved the car for years... i was curious of some common aftermarket upgrades. im looking for an automatic (yes i know im boring) but i still like my car to have a lil pickup to it. i would love to hear some basic upgrades and some extreme stuff too never hurts (i read i cannot use a greddy turbo kit with an automatic... idk if its true though)

is there a 6sp auto out yet?? the 2004-05 would be still 4sp i think ??
well......... depends what u mean by "pick up" mods, ur not going to get a HUGE gain of power unless u go FI.......
But if you want to feel you got a bit more grunt... intake and exhaust....... extractors..... blah blah..

MissyK, Yeah there is. I think they just started the 6 speed auto in 2006. I was looking at getting an automatic myself but it defeats the purpose of buying the car because i wont get that legendary 9,000rpm redline :-D only 7k or 7.5k.

If you want an AT. you should definitely get the 2006 or later. The 2004 and 2005 not only has the 4-speed transmission, but it also has less power, isn't dual port, etc.
