Lookin for 05/04 RX8

In the market for a nice used RX8, couple I saw have low miles and heaps of options but I just don't care for all the extra plastic. Is it difficult to remove the "apperance package" plastic? Also would a 2004 with 22,000 miles seem like a lot of miles and I should look for lower miles? Last, Do I need the GPS? Thanks, used to own a RX7 long time ago and would love to have a small sports car again.

# of miles is all relative. My 05 has 12.5 k in 10 months time. So 22k on an 04 isn't very high - but warranty runs for 5 yrs/50k, so the actual # on the odo is kind of irrelevant, except for it's effect on the price.

You're really the only one who knows if you need GPS. Do you travel alot? Do you get lost alot? Can you read a paper map if you need to? Also - I've seen a few posts stating the navi maps are old - but I don't have the navi, so I can't confirm.

What part of the appearance pckg are you looking to "remove", and why would you?

Your right on the GPS, and I know that I really don't need it. I just love gadgets. I'm lookin at 2 cars as of now, one a 2005 with 200 miles and loaded, and a 2004 GT with NAV and 6 disc but no apperance package. I kinda like the car better with out the package, it just has a cleaner look. The car with 200 miles would cost an additional grand and extra 750 buck tax, but is new with longer warrenty.

I'm not a big fan of the side aero flares either. But they are prlly fairly easy to remove, and you could sell 'em. 20 thousand + miles and it's only ~ 2 k dollars less? Doesn't seem like there is any reason to consider getting the 04 . . .

Here's mine.

Keep in mind that I live in canada, so my price is in CAD.
