I'm really jealous of how quiet your car is, from inside or outside.
And that glow from the blue LEDs or whatever is such a great touch.

Yeah, I was impressed when I found that, because when I got the car the gauges were turned so that they were full white all the time, and I reached to turn it down, then it clicked, and I was like whoooooa neat!

I'll second that motion -- this thread in particular and the RX8 Forum in general are great benefits to ownership, IMHO.

I've frequented many online boards in the past and felt it worth my time to register to only a few -- this being one. The general feel of this forum is fun, intelligent, thoughtful, accommodating, and friendly. There are some posters who've had their moments of making idiots and/or asses of themeselves, but I've been impressed with the good-natured overall tone of the RX8 Forum. This thread is only one of many examples.

Just so happens I'm trying out a very nice glass of Cline carignane tonight, so here's to this thread, and many others like it, here on the RX8 Forum. Cheers!:D

Ciao!
Darren

Jeez, this rotor thing is getting to be like "Where's Waldo". Where else will it turn up?

This is what I got:

The quart was wrapped in a bag with zipper.
Inside I found plastic glowes, paper funnels and a wet-napkin (if thats what it is in english.)
On the back of the bag there is material (e:bore-band I think) which sticks to the floor of baggage compartment.
I had already ordered five quarts, so I got five of them :p :D :p :D :p :D :p :D :p :D
If you were closer, I would ask to send me one bag full!!What perfect service (hope they don't charge more than the $1.19) Just kidding, what ever they charged, this is good service!!

Perhaps the fact of being a Jeep man since I first bought my cars (The 78 Impala doesn't count...) Then stopping with my girlfriend to look at 3's and deciding to indulge myself and look at the RX8... the salesman said "Hold on, let's take a look at this..." and proceeds to show me the Shinka. Holy crap... I almost didn't sit in it simply because I knew I would want it and couldn't get it that day. Needless to say, I'm trying my best to swap the Liberty out for the 8... (I know, not even a comparison...)

Don't think I saw this posted yet.
I just found this out today while I was vacuming the carpet.
THe drivers mat has a hole in it with a metal gromet.
The hole fits over a hook under the seat to keep the mat from slipping.

I'm just weeks from ownership - this site was a clincher!

Maybe this has already been said ... but the "little" thing I've noticed (not so little really): The Crazy-Passion that 8-owners have! This has got to be one special freakin' car!

Actually, my observation is that it usually only takes one test drive to catch it... ownership fuels the passion... :D

I found another - while driving home (east) in the evening sunshine, I noticed a clear, bright rotor-shaped beam of light shining happily on the passenger side dash. Made me smile.

Little, but important: I like the well-constructed and tough factory air dam, that holds up to the unfortunate and random road debris. Same thing happened to me in my 2000 626--tire debris broke the bottom lip of my bumper.
Oh, of course, I also like the fact random people come up to me at gas stations/grocery stores/basically everywhere and comment how nice/beautiful/sweeeet the car is, and little kids riding in the back seats of the cars ahead give me the thumbs up after checking out the '8.

My wife gets it, and I think that's one of the big "little things" for me. Today I commented how it was cool that folks at work suggest I back into a parking spot so they can see the car from the front and she thought it was "cute".

i got mine on saturday... and the one little thing that i can think of that's totally unique (so far) is the difference in pace depending on the direction i'm walking relative to the car

when i walk away, i walk so slow... but when i'm going toward it, i find myself doing all that i can to keep from jogging!

I keep my keys in a leader wallet with a zipper. This way, it takes time to access the keys, allowing me to enjoy the visual impression before I get in.

Yeah another benefit of the rotor shape in the seat back, it that I could peep through it to see if my kid was asleep in the back!

I can shift the maunal gearstick just by flexing my fingers as opposed to moving my entire arm. Great for when your popping up through the gears on take-off from the lights! Not that I'd ever do that of course...
I was washing the beast the other day and in the next bay was a guy with a stunning red Porsche 911 Carrera 4S - one of my all time favourite cars - and he came up and told me what a stunning car I had! I was well chuffed!!

I'll bet if we were to look at some chips from the cars electronics under an electron microscope, we might just find a rotory symbol or two. Chip designers have put some pretty interesting artwork on in their layouts that can only be seen under a microscope. ...Including, ...well... Waldo

You never know

The best feature of all is the beeping sound that comes when you hit redline and it is time to shift. Makes it a lot more fun when you are at the track lol!

Revgirl, I think the best feature is not needing to use the brakes when entering the esses.
