light, question please
light, question please
I got my car used so I did not have manual, for a whole week, the light right below the L as low oil indicator showing up after the car starts, it is there for 10 to 20 seconds then off, what is it ? and I also try to down load the manual but get no luck, anybody please hepl. thank.
I would check your oil first. The Oil should be between the top dot and top line. If there is enough oil and the light still comes on the oil level sensor may be bad. Mazda as a TSB for it http://www.finishlineperformance.com...13-04-1341.pdf
Definitely check the oil. If your car is old enough that the dipstick does not have dots, the oil level should be closer to the top line than the bottom. Preferably right at the top line.
What year is your 8? Where have you been trying to download the manual?

04 6mt, under the L letter, couting from the bottom is service engine light, battery light, oil light and ? light, the ? light is what it is for? , I just check, the oil level is perfect, closes to the top hi line.
yeah i know the exact problem just happened today I left work and the CEL was on I was like WTF so got home tightened the gas cap (filled up last night) disconnected the battery and light went away so I reved it up to redline just to make sure everything was running ok and the "house" light came on then shut off at like 6k did it again and it happened again...but now it didn't do it... i didn't get a manual either so it woujld b nice to know what this means?
That is the low engine coolant light. Check your coolant level.
Also note that if coolant is at normal level then the sensor could be going bad. It is a know problem and there are a couple of things you can do:
1. Replace the coolant reservoir tank since the sensor is built into it.
2. The other is to unplug the sensor, and check your coolant level regularly.
