Question Knocking sound from under floor boards

2005 RX8 GT, Manual
1600 miles

I dont know if this is normal, but I get this muddled knocking sound almost directly under the drivers side floor board whenever I go off the line fast or enter a turn. The DSC light does kick on when the knocking happens so im guessing its related to that function (ive never had a car with DSC before).

I also hear it shortly after I pull into reverse after starting the car, or after going from reverse to fwd.

I tried searching but didnt find anything. Is this sound normal?

I don't have that noise and have no clue what it could be. But there are plenty of smart people on here that may be able to help you figure out what it is.

I hear it too when the DSC kicks in. I think its the ABS hydraulics kicking in and outl Got ABS on one of my bikes, hear it loud and clear when in use out in the open.

Yep, sounds like DSC activating ABS, and then the ABS calibration

yep abs. how are those tires holding up? sounds like you have alot of wheel slip. or the car percieves alot of wheel slip like from a steering angle sensor.
the abs knock when you first drive it is the abs self check.

Ok makes sense. I'm probably gunning it too hard in off the line and in low speed turns. Just wanted to make sure it was normal. I'll turn off the DSC and see what I hear. Thanks guys!

Not very wise are you? The DSC is correcting what you are doing wrong and now you wanna turn it off.
