Karma Wins -vs- Mazda - Retribution!!!

Ok...so in a previous thread I posted about how my transmission had to be pulled and parts ordered for it. Shift fork, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing, and of course the clutch. This is 3 months AFTER they replaced my synchros.

They were trying to make me PAY for the clutch even though I have always had transmission issues and they said what they replaced in the tranny would not cause the clutch to go bad. I called bullshit on that one. So i decided to pay for the clutch just to get my car back...but I called Mazda NA to file a complaint and to make sure I am not accepting fault by paying for it. They will call me back today to let me know if they will cover it because of their incompetence.

SO...last Friday...I got to finally pick up the car. I get my keys...walk over to my car...and they drove the car up on the cement parking pillar...LEAVING it THERE...scratched up my NEW ShineAuto kit. NEW. Brand new. I suppress my inner crazy black man and go to the service manager and show him. He flips out instead. Says he will pay whatever to fix it. I told him to pay for my clutch. DONE.

Ok...so this Saturday there was a car show at Virginia Tech. It was hot and I wanted my A/C on driving over to it. Doesn't turn on. I look inside to make sure that they plugged everything back when they took my car apart. (They checked the eccentric shaft during the tranny work per Mazda NA). come to find out....they did not install the A/C belt correctly and it came off at some point...and sheared HALFWAY through my engine harness. Are you ******* kidding me? Took it this morning...service manager I think almost cut his wrists...and I'm sure some people are fired. Think of what could have happened in the engine harness completely came apart. Luckily it drove well enough to get it to the dealer.

Pics or it didn't happen I know so I took pics...because this story is just TOO good. Please discuss and ask me questions...I know my story is kind of confusing.

Umm...I can has A/C belts!?!?!? ad:

This picture doesn't really show the damage well.

You have to be kidding me. Look at this.

Can anybody tell me what this specific wire cluster goes to. It is the hated one that gets in your way when you change the coils I believe. Hmmm.

Holy crap. I applaud you for keeping your cool partner. I shutter at the thought of having to go through something like this. I would have been a raging psychotic at that point.

Well, u have grounds to demand EVERYTHING be satisfied paid in full. You ARE still making them pay for the repair to your kit right? Dont let anything slide, at this point they should be eating out of your freakin hand. Ridiculous

I would have lost my ****... congrats on keeping cool and lucky that you had a manager who was willing to take your side rather than get in your face about how it was somehow your fault. I've had enough bad experiences like that to know it happens more often than not.

Thanks...I learned with my time in customer service, nothing gets settled that way. I just let the service manager know in a subtle way...that this is unacceptable on all levels...and I expect the car to be perfect when I get it back. Anybody have any idea on how much that harness will cost them?
