R3 is a damn fine automobile. Screw the steering wheel... I can't have an RX8 without a sunroof. Add a sunroof, and might have bought one a few months ago.

Yeah, I think it's illegal, but, I like feeling my pedals and feeling all the little circle thingies on the bottom of my feet. Doesn't feel quite as good as a pedicure, but it's definitely up there.

Only time I can't/won't drive barefoot is when I'm headed to work. Boots are too much of a biotch to unlace/lace-up.

Quite the eager little beaver aren't you?

You can't give me a pedi. Like all you hounds that prefer Asian women, I also prefer Asian women... to pay close attention to detail when it comes to my toes.

and...

You can't lace/unlace. This would probably be a very complicated thing for you and should be left to the professionals.

I have yet to see an '09 RX-8 on the road. There are several R3's around here that have been sitting on lots for around a year already and a ton of other '09s that have been sitting around all summer. I'm practically salivating thinking about the deal I will be able to get come this winter if I decide to get another 8. Face it, dealers and Mazda are pretty much just losing their asses on 8's at this point. It wouldn't have surprised me if they discontinued it after 09 but I guess 10s are already arriving in some places.

I'm kind of attracted to the looks of the Challenger but I haven't gotten a chance to test drive one yet. After having an 8 for 5+ years, Im not sure what to expect from a 4000 lb, overpriced muscle car. I have the feeling I'll end up with an R3 and it will come a hell of a lot cheaper than the Dodge.

I've seen a few 09's on the road here and there. Don't think I have seen an R3 on the road. Will be interesting what Mazda offers to unload the 09's. It certainly wasn't a cash for clunker recipient.

Don't get a Challenger. All the reviews have said it is more a cruiser than a true sports coupe. The Camaro wins on brute strength, but the Mustang wins on driveability and liveability.

If I was looking at a new car, I'd look at the WRX and WRX STI.

Heh, it's not illegal. I agree with the boots thing, even though I still drove to work in the RX8 with just socks on. It was just a pain the *** to get the steel toes on, especially with my height. I no longer have that problem in the Speed3- it has plenty of shoe-lacing room.

Okay, no more off-topic for me.

According to mazda website, there is a $4k rebate on them until the end of the month.
I bought my 09 gt using the rebate.

I just purchased an R3 over the weekend. It looks like car was sitting on the lot for at least six months.

And with the $4K rebate Mazda is offering, there are great deals out there.
