I just picked up my 8 and im so happy right now.

I was gonna buy black one, but dont want to waste more than $2000 for GT package, so I went for titaium one.

Titanium Gray 6MT w/ sport package

I paid $2xx over the invoice.

Oh...few questions I was curious about..

1) Should I use 91 octance for my 8? I've searched several threads, some ppl use 87 and they are fine. Is 91 octane or higher a "must"?

2) Rough start...mine is built on 04/04/2004 and so doesnt need to reflash the PCM, right? Sometime it starts like my old civic w/o enough gas. What's the deal?

3) Front parking lights...these are so annoying. Color of the bulbs sucks. Is there any way to turn these off?

4) The oil pressure meter. Mine shows a little bit over the middle. (If middle = 50%, mine shows at 60%) Is it normal?

1) I'd stick with the recommended gas until you've broken in the car, then you can try experimenting around if you want.

2) I don't think your car needs a flash, but it doesn't hurt to check.

3) I have no idea what you mean.

4) Oil pressure is a dummy guage. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

 

Near front mazda logo, there is a small projector in main headlights.

Annoying yellow lights. Not quite yellow, its more like dark yellow.

Bulb type : 194

Did you get it?

 

Yeah, but I don't know why you wouldn't know how to turn them off, since they don't come on unless you turn on the headlights

To switch them off independantly, I don't know of a way...

Personally they don't irk me as much as the bright yellow fog lights. Those are due to be changed.
