Woo-hoo!!!!

My "Your VIN Has Been Assigned" email arrived at the same time (though I knew my VIN already because my salesman called me with it last week).

The email says my production date was June 26th -- about a week earlier than the salesman said it would be.

After seeing your thread, I went and checked (we have similar vins) and sure enough, I got mine as well. I wonder how long we have to wait now...I am really hoping it gets here before August 1st, since I'm leaving for a long driving vacation the first week in August!!

 

Unfortunately, I suspect it will be more like the 3rd week of August, just extrapolating from what's been happening with the 1st allocation people.

 

I just got my "built" message, also. My car is "on the water" - should reach port in about a week. I think it should be at the dealer about 2 weeks after that. I believe the 1st batch is being held back for whatever reason, but subsequent ones will probably be released sooner.

 

Oh to have one of those e-mails, we here in the UK got a letter last week saying that the delivery of our cars, some of which were ordered in January will be delayed until the end of October.

I for one am very envious of you guys across the pond, please let us poor souls know how good the car is when you get our hands on it.

The VIN status sticky thread just disappeared -- I wonder why?

 

I just got my "Your VIN has been Assigned" email. I fell happy and dissapointed. I'm glad the car is being build, but the email also states that "It won't be long before the factory completes your car and it's on the way to your Mazda dealer so you can experience ..... We'll let you know as soon as that happens, but we expect this to occur within 30 days". That translates into early September delivery. Two more months .....sigh.....

I'm trying to figure this out. I got my email today, too. But it doesn't say anything about the build date. I called MNAO and they were a little confused too since they confirmed the order being placed on 1/16/03. Told me to call back next week and they could tell me more...but that I may have it on/after 7/21!

This is giving me a migrane!

Yeah, I was typing fast at work and hit the t, somehow. It's fixed now- but don't I feel like a jerk...

 

got mine to,born 6/19/03.dealer called me also today and said its on the water and he excpects it will only be 2 or 3 weeks behind his first 2 cars sitting in tacoma waiting for the 4 day boat ride to anchorage.not bad for only ordering 4 weeks ago.:D
