Hi!
I just got my yellow 2004 Rx8 with 71k miles.
I am also new to this site =D

I know that the engine can flood if started and turned off before it has reached operational temperature.
I know that I should be checking the oil quite regularly.
What else should i know or do to make sure my RX8 will last me for a long time?

You should open your eyes, to start with.
There's a sticky thread, right inside this very section of the forum you chose to make this post in, that's specifically targeted to new RX-8 owners like yourself.

You should read that one.
And all the others that surround it.

They are stickies, for a reason.

Welcome aboard. If you want your rx8 to last a long time, you should follow the owners manual scheduled maintenance procedures and read the stickies on this site. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Love Lightening Yellow, hate the orange marker lights. I mean, I think they're ugly on all 8's but particularly the yellows.
