just got my new 8

Just got my new 8 and alot of fun to drive!
Nordic Green with two tone leather and Grand Touring package.
Added some dealer installed accessories like fender strakes and exhaust finishers.
Best of all my insurance considers it a 4 door sedan and is cheaper than my 5 year old Mits 3000.
My door sticker says manfactured date 07/03 and have seen a few of the problems I've seen posted, ie:

oil light freeway (new oil pan?)
cold/cool a/c air intermitently (part on back order?)
also bad fuel mileage (maybe need M flash?)I can't tell what flash I have?
has anyone noticed alot of heat coming from the center console?

Will probably make some formal complaints at my first oil change @3000k and hope they are responsive.

After 1000 miles lots of power and nice stereo and handling performance.
No flooding issue although I always follow the shut down procedure of winding to 3000 rpm for 30 seconds before shut down as instructed by dealer?
I mostly just commute with new car but did put it through a few twistys behind Newman Lake. The headlights really rock- I think they are special kind?

Anyway just joined the club and wanted to shout out from Spokane , WA
(although I bought car across border in Idaho,
supposed to be all the rave for dealership customer satisfaction) find out shortly

p.s. I did read the 10 commandments for every RX8 owner--that exposed radiator/rock thing is a little scary?
My first post hope it goes through......

Thumbs up

Congrats and hopefully it will be a good experience for you rotary is the way to go. Their are also many threads about the heat from the console, the M flash and of course the most popular of all the mpg.
There are some quarks but all and all it's great.
