Perhaps some of you remember that my 8 had been undrivable for over a month while waiting for coolant hoses to arrive from Japan. Well, hoses finally got here, we got 'em installed, but the car's battery couldn't handle the prolonged inactivity and took a crap.

I just found out that Mazda's warranty on the battery is full replacement within the first twelve months' of ownership. So, two weeks shy of my car's one-year anniversary, she got a brand new battery courtesy of West Covina Mazda!

I'm hoping this is the last problem I'll have to deal with for a while. She's still a joy to drive.

I also had my battery replaced by the dealer because it wouldn't start my car after 3 weeks of non-use. How do we know that our new batteries won't have the same problem?
