It's been a bad weekend, my one-month-old RX-8 just turned 700 on its mileage and some stupid kid rear-ends me on the highway. Bumper gone!

I was pretty bummed all weekend. Fortunately the damage was confided to replaceable parts, no sheet metal damage. Muffler pipe was also bend up and a taillight cracked.

Brought it to the body shop today to get the parts ordered. As I talked to the manager he informed me that the muffler would need replacing and I asked about substituting an after market unit. He said no problem as long as the cost was the same, so my new Race Beat Cat Back muffler is on the way. Makes the whole episode a little more bearable.
