Well actually I've had it for a week now and love it. First of all I bought it for $3500 below invoice thanks to Mazda incentives. I traded an 09' MX-5 PRHT in and I'm surprised how much quieter and more refined the 8 is. Given the amazing handling I am astounded at how supple the ride is. Excellent seats as well. More padding than the Mx-5 but not like a Buick. So far I am in love except for the gas mileage.

If so, that's pretty good since I bought my '10 RX8 R3 for about the same price ($28,222 OTD)...
Congrats on your new 8!

Given the factory-to-dealer incentives right now, I would not be at all surprised if you could get an R3 or GT 6spd for around $26000-27000. I'd love to pull the trigger on an R3, myself, but current circumstances (position turbulence until after the new year) indicate NO-GO at this time.
I suspect in the winter months, the incentives will continue -- these are historically the slowest months for sports car sales. I've test-driven so many vehicles the past few years, and nothing compares to the RX8. I want another one.
