Just bought a 04 six speed need help!
Okay so I just got my RX8 about a week ago from a small dealer. Already the check engine light has come on. And I've noticed a few things. My back tires make like a scraping sound while the car is moving. Is this the rotors? Also when I tak my foot of the cluth and the car is parked in neutral. I hear a rattling noise...

the rear tires? could be a few things....
check engine light? take it to an auto parts store, borrow the diag box for free, and you tell us what it is.

Yeah I did test drive it. None of this was noticable during the test drive. The rattling noise isn't there all the time. And you have to listen very closely for the wheel noise. The car is under warranty for 30 days for trans/engine. Also the car only has 40k miles on it. A main reason I chose this one over others. Less chance of problems I thought...

Like terch1 said, bring it back to the dealer and have them check it, especially since you have that warranty.
Or, like blmcquig said, take it to an autozone and have the code read, then post it here.
Sound in your tire could be many things (Rotor, brakes, tpms, etc). And maybe a video of the noises will help...

Seems to me that a rattle in neutral would be the throwout bearing, not the clutch. Scraping from the back could be a worn out brake pad or a wheel bearing. If it has the stock wheels, you should be able to get a reasonable look at the outside pads without taking a wheel off.
Not that there's any reason to distrust a dealer, but definitely get the code read before going back. And go back as soon as you can, so as to not burn up your 30 days.

I had a friend who's a mechanic look at it and he said it's probably the bearings too. He said it's not too serious but you have to take the trasmission out to change it. We fixed the noise in the wheels it was just metal scraping on the rotor. And i also got it scanned. The codes were P2259, P0442, P2010.
