Jim Click & Mazda USA

need to blow up....omfg.

I've been trying for a MONTH now to get my new tranny that was replaced last year in december looked at. It shakes at over 80 mph, my 2nd gear synchro is broken for the 6th ******* time. I don't race my car, i show it. I met up with FlashWing to get his opinion and doing some research we came to the conclusion that it could possibly be a blown engine mount causing pressure on my transmisison. I called Mazda USA a week ago, called back today and what do I get?

The dealership won't work on your car because you have an aftermarket clutch. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! My clutch was replaced by a local automotive tech who purchased it DIRECTLY from JIM CLICK. By this time i'm pissed. The only thing after market in my engine is my pulleys and pulleys aren't causing my issues. So they said if you agree to a tear down and to pay for it we'll fix your car.

So i hung up called JIM CLICK. I'm told $95 for the possible tear down. I was like WTF is a warranty for?! Finally the guy I normally deal with gets on the phone and says what's going on. So I explain all over again, explain that THEIR service manager RODE in my car with me and said "yep your tranny has issues"

I'm like I want my car fixed and I don't want it back until you DO fix it. Now i'm told well we can only give you a free rental for 2 days 'cause of the economy. I said what kind of bullshit is that??! **** It i don't care, i'm bringing my car in tomorrow do what you have to do and I don't want her back until you do. If i have to pay, the bitch is going bye bye.

i love my car but..
......god i hate mazda right now......

check your clutch pedal mounts...The problem is probably bad or broken mount, and the 1st/2nd gear shift is the first one to go when that happens.

sorry to hear about your trouble man. I recently had an episode with my Mazdaspeed6 where it was in the shop for 6 weeks STRAIGHT for a new tranny, only to have problems once it got out.

Mazda's strong suit has NEVER been their customer service. Just keep up Mazda NA's butt about it and it will start to turn over results. Likely it'll be rather slow, but it's your best route. Talking to dealerships is like talking to a brick wall...or maybe a retarded brick wall at that.

yeah completely. Oh i know about the mazda club, flashwing is vice president he's a good friend of mine and drove my car. I'm just at my wits end. I did have a new tranny put in last year that took a whole month to get it back. My engine has been re-manufactured. Hell the dealership told mazda usa i race my car. I'm like are you serious? I don't race my car i'm more into the show scene.

I'm in shock that they would claim they can't work on my car because my clutch is aftermarket. Bogus ****.

Is the car still in the original warranty or is being covered under the extended drive train warranty? The extended warranty doesn't offer a rental car while your car is being serviced. My car was in for 5 weeks for a engine under the extended warrenty, waiting for new one to be installed

I think the Mazda dealerships are under the gun to reduce the number of Rx8 warranty issues as much as possible. Costs must be killing them. Thank God I have not had any issues other than that recent starter relay which stranded us.

I think some dealerships tend to be run by ********. My local dealership has been nothing but nice to me. Great people. I need to drop by and give them donuts some time.

yea, Ive had similar situations with my trans. I had an output seal leak, dealer told me they wouldnt warranty it since I admit I shift above 3K RPMs and thats abuse , take it to another dealer and they fix it 4 times over a 1.5 year spread under warranty then deem it abuse , then I move to california and go to another dealer who fixed it at 59K miles under warranty.

Now at 72K, its leaking again

MAGNUSON MOSS WARRANTY ACT US Code - Title 15, Chapter 50, Sections 2301-2312 Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)).
http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/adv/bus01.shtm

Use it wisely.

the 2 day rental due to the economy is B.S.! ask them to show you WHERE in your WRITTEN WARRANTY it states that?

Speak to the Service manager in a firm yet polite tone. Do not be afraid to escalate this if necessary

Ok Straight Up i need some help. they took my car for a day drove it and said "nothings wrong, your motor mounts are fine" but there's no way. I know there's a problem with my car I have about 5000 miles left before my warranty runs out. I'm thinking about getting a lawyer does anyone have any advice, or can help with whatever research i may need? i have all the paperwork saved and i've spent alot of money out of pocket since i bought this damn car.

you have to drive with them to show them the problem or they WILL NOT EVER find the issue the first time and probably not the 2nd or 3rd time
