I'm currently in Japan on business and stopped by the Mazda Tokyo showroom over the weekend. According to the lady I spoke with, the '05 RX-8 is basically the same, not even changes in color (of course they already get the white in Japan).

But then again, although the sales gal was really cute, I wasn't that confident that she really had an in-depth knowledge. And while I speak Japanese well enough, something might have been lost in translation. She did say they were getting new brochures (the old ones weren't in stock), but unfortunately I'll be gone before they're ready.

I did get the most current Japanese parts brochure (April '04). I'll post it when I get back, as there's some new Mazdaspeed parts and lots of stuff we don't get in the US. Like an interior trim called "marbled glass", which looks more like marbled wood trim to me.

 

That sounds awesome. Cant wait to see them!
