Introduction - Part of the '8 Family
Hey all,
I've been looking around the forums for awhile now and just bought my '8 three weeks ago. It's a 2004 with 34K miles on her.
Red, 6-speed M/T of course, and in near-perfect condition with a superb carfax and brand new Goodyear Eagle F1s wrapped around those 18" alloys. Owned by an older lady before me and it had obviously been babied (only driven 4.5K miles a year according to the carfax). She traded it in and bought a convertible corvette, so apparently she had some money and wanted a different toy.
Anyways, I'm completely in love. Never been in a car that handles so well and feels so smooth - who wants to just be fast in straight line, anyways? It had already had the ECU flashed as called for by Mazda, and I picked up the extended 60K mile warranty just in case.
I intend to keep this car classy and baby the hell out of it just like the previous owner. Already purchased new coils and plugs and have done some of/planning on doing the rest of the first things recommended by a sticky on the forum. Looking forward to learning more and being a part of this community. Here are some pics of her:
