Introduction first RX8 2007 sport

OK I am an RX8 noob. I traded my Harley for a 2007 RX8 sport with only 4700 miles. Only factory options are the rear wing and the xeon headlight package. After that the list of owner installed options is quite long.

Agency Power Ti Tip Catback Exhaust Mazda RX8
Volk Racing GT AV Wheels 18x9
Racing Beat REVi Intake & Duct Combo 04-08 RX-8
Racing Beat A/C Condenser & Oil Cooler Protective Screens
Seibon carbon fiber hood (will be putting original back on)
Veilside D1-GT rear bumper and side skirts
Greddy front and rear tower braces
Greddy radiator air dam
Greddy oil pan
Agency Power front and rear sway bars
Agency Power front adjustable drop link
The car also has coilovers but I haven't determined a manufacturer. The rears have WAT racing developement on them but I can't find anything out about that as a manufacturer. They appear to be CNC aluminum bodied painted white. Spring rates are unknown the springs are blue if color coded.
I have no idea if the ECU was flashed but my guess would be that it has with all the other mods.
So if anyone has things I should look for or comments that would be good.
For history on other cars I have an 84 SCCA XP Solo class porsche 911(for sale), a 1985 porsche 911 Cab pretty much stock, A 2005 dodge Magnum and an 03 Suburban
Will post more pictures once I get a chance to take some.

Congrats. AFE Short Shifter... Those who have one swear by it, 5 min install. Otherwise a Cobb Access Port is a pretty popular item to grab you some more horses and some good engine management.

Enjoy!

How could someone go at least that far and not have the Short Shifter?

Well..............maybe it does and the OP isn't aware?

The place I got the car from got permission to give me the original owners email address. He indicated that he would provide information about all the modifications that were done to the car.

It may well have the short shift but after driving my 84 porsche anything is a shortshift. Once I hear back from the original owner I will post more information.

I really like the way the car handles. I went to a little back road test patch and did a few slalom tests. I was turning as fast as I could turn the wheel doing everyother yellow stripe. When I looked at the speedometer I was doing 55. The car never even chirped. It could have gone faster but I couldn't turn the wheel any faster. This is gonna be fun!

Oh yeah..............it's fun!
I've had mine for almost 5 years now, and to be honest...........I still can't wait till the next time I get to drive it. Smile on face hasn't left yet!
Trust us..............if no short shifter, then I think you should look into it!

Short shifter completely changes the feel of the car. And oh the joy of engine braking with it?
