Introduction

Hi all,
Just picked up a 05 silver Rx8 touring and would like to introduce myself to the forum. I'm a bit of a car nut and usually only keep my cars about 4-6 months and this is my latest endevour. My last 3 vehicles have been a 01 e46 M3 and 03 e46 M3 and a 04 Hummer H2 and now I have an RX8. I have 5 older brothers who have a similar fasination in aquiring cars. Luckily I have been blessed with a job that affords me the means to do so and wife who doesn't stop me. So far I am really impressed with the performance of the RX8. It handles similar to my M's but ovbioulsy doesnt come close to the raw power. But I think the power is well matched for the car. I will definitley have to upgrade the rubber to Michelin Pilot Sports in the spring as the stock dunlops leave alot to be desired. I look forward to getting to know you all...

Hey, welcome and such. When you say "stock dunlops" I'm confused. Aren't the stock tires supposed to be Bridgestone Potenza's or am I missing something?

Welcome...Dunlops are used from the factory also. I have a late 2004 model that came with Dunlops.

This is something that I've also noticed at the delearship while getting my RX8. The cars came with either Potenza or Dunlop. I also have Dunlop.

Thanks for the welcome. Seeing as we are supposed to get a big snow storm up here tomorrow, perhaps i should have waited a lil longer before getting rid of the H2. Well logic was never my forte, time to get some blizzaks.

How much did you sell the H2 for?

sold it for 43k and to tell you the truth, I have never had a more difficut time letting go of any other vehicle. But I was putting too many miles on it ( 20k in 7months) and wouldn't have been able to make a profit on it if I kept it any longer. I will have one again someday soon but for now, time to sit a lil lower to the ground..
