Introduction

After being a lurker for the past 5 months I can finally say I now own an RX8. Tomorrow I will be picking up a 2004 RX8, Winning Blue, Sport Model. Nice and basic, no unneeded bits. Took the car for a test drive this past weekend and decided it was the one. Will have pictures up once it gets a good cleaning.
Already wen't and purchased all the bits for the first $100 and am in between buying an AP or BHR Ignition upgrade for the first modification.

Finding out when the plugs and coils were last replaced should help you decide which one to go with.
Is the tranny auto or stick?
Welcome to the addiction!

Sorry Should have added, Stick. Won't be going back to auto until I'm to old to work a clutch. To much fun. This will be my second addiction, first one is the other niche car I owned.

welcome! and as far as picking between those two, i would say the BHR kit (unless your coils wires and plugs are okay right now)

Welcome to the club, I'm just as new. At least you get to stomp on the pedal and let her wind up all the way. I'm still waiting for the break in period.

Well after a good hard cleaning and knocking out a few of the $100 mods, here she is. Decided on ordering the BHR ignition upgrade, will place that order in the upcoming 2 weeks. Everything was smooth on the 50mi ride home. I did notice that the idle dipped once by about 100rpm, Im pretty sure it did it once the fan kicked on, wasn't watching to close. Also that fan does run forever once you shut it off, atleast 5min, I swear. I must say, I'm in love with her. Couldn't be happier, 53k at the tune of $7,900.
