the check engine light came on my rx8 the code was intake and tuning valve the guy at the parts store suggested we run sea foam through it but we were wondering is it safe for the rotary engine thanks

 

We need to know the code so we can suggest the course of action to correct.
There are different valves in the intake manifold and some are moved with a vacuum actuator and one is moved with an electric motor.

SeaFoam won't hurt the engine, it just won't help much in your situation either.
Especially if its a faulty solenoid causing the problem.
This is why knowing the error code is key.
