Hey i just got my AEM cold air intake in, and now my idle is alittle fucked up. I went over the instructions a couple more times to make sure everything was right and it is. If anyone else has had this problem and figured it out could you lemme know how.

we need more than a little fucked up to tell what is wrong with it, give a description of what is wrong with your idle.

 

Intake = wast of money. make sure all the fittings are tight and try a ECU reset.

How do you honestly expect help?

 

I haven't done a cold air intake myself, but from what I have read from Racing Beat's website about their REVi intake system is that removal of the mesh screens causes a "rough idle" because the screens help to straighten air flow before it enters the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.

Did you remove the screens for your AEM intake? Not sure what you can do about it, but you might want to read Racing Beat's site about what they did to their intake system and see if you can apply it to yours.

Alright i think it might be one of the scensors b/c there were two on the stock intake and now the aem only uses one of them. When im moving it seems to work fine but when im sitting at a stoplight or somthing it just bogs down from about 1000 rpms to about 600 to 700 and feels like its about to die. I called the Mazda Dealership and they said just take it off an put the stock on back on, but i don't really want to. Thanks for your time
