NS Insurence claim/paint job

Hello Guys/gals; I recently had my 8 keyed and claimed it under vandalism for insurance. The paint shop charged the insurance company 2000$ to paint the driver side from front quarter to trunk and screwed up a few things:

1. They dropped a tool on my hood which dented the hood slightly in 2 spots and chipped the paint to the metal (tried to say the chips were there before the paint job)

2. They painted some of the plastic body parts b/c they didn't tape them up properly.

3.There seems to be contaminants in the paint as it looks like sand bits here in there are under the fresh paint.

I finally convinced them to repaint the hood but I am scared at whatever else they may screw up... My insurance company says they will note the issues but won't do anything about it. I am sorta pissed but at the same time I am not sure if I am asking for too much here. Anyone know what I can/should do if anything?

tell them you aren't satisfied with the job and they need to do again at their expense. Don't back down and don't take **** from them. Get with managers and what not as well. I amazed the insurance company won't help you and withhold payment to the shop until they fix what the messed up.

my car is in the shop right now getting some love.

I asked the guy, how much to paint and fix all the dents and nicks and repaint the whole side door, he told me 380.

so charging 2K for front to rear fender seems like a highway robbery for me.

it will be hard to get them to re-do it since they already got their money, insurance company cant do **** bcuz they paid them already ... you can keep bitching about the job, but I kinda doubt they will do anything for you ...

i would complain until they fix it. compare the side they painted to the other side. if they are not the same quality, then there is a problem. just keep going up their chain of command until you get someone who will fix it.

complain. get them to redo it.

those little bumps are pieces of dust that got painted over most likely.
