Arrow Indecision! Help!

Im going to sign the papers for my rx8 tomorrow...it should be arriving within the week...im in Canada, i decided on the GT package, with sunroof and spoiler...

NOW FOR COLOUR! i read most if not all of the colour opinion polls/posts...but i still need some last moments of advice!

My decision is narrowed down to either black or titanium....

What does everyone think i should get?

As you can see by my user name, i am a big fan of black....as of recently i have been second guessing myself, titanium is such a unique colour, the Mazda titanium is so different from others...and it hides the dirt...

unsure!

If you are already a fan of Black, I would go with Black.

Titanium is the "in" color right now for many cars, I don't think it is that "unique". It is also the most common color for the RX-8.

Some of the best looking RX-8 pics on this site are Black.

Bottom line is that only you can decide what you like best. Good luck.

Not only that, but Ti is available on other Mazda cars too. It's far from unique.

5 years from now it might be burned out, and the value of your car may drop when you try to resell it. Black is a classic color that you can't go wrong with.

Ditto everything he said. If the Black is pulling you harder, go for the black. Good luck.

Black and get a Ti racing stripe painted on it? That would look good.

Thanks....i feel more settled now . What i meant by unique, was the Mazda titanium colour in itself...Titanium may be played out, but the Mazda Titanium is so different from other Titaniums around...

I'm never buying a black car again, to hard to keep looking clean.

Titanium Grey for me (it still turns heads, had a guy pull up next to me, and his buddy was leaning out the window with a camera phone to take a picture of my car).

Black is the only way to go =)

It is a hassle to keep it clean and free of dust (I brush it off every morning with one of those car brushe things) but it is well worth it. It's really stunning.

Go with your instinct, but Titanium was my 2nd choice. The lines of the car look great in grey.

I got black and it looks horrible if you dont keep it super clean. As in after a simple rain shower or dew it looks nasty. Up there in Canada I would go with a lighter color..

get the yellow, no wait, get the blue,no silver, yeah silver, or perhaps the green, green is kinda rare, though the red is nice looking too with the gold flakes, no get the titanium,oh wait get the white, it is now available you could be one of the first with a white one. though black is nice looking too. though I do like my yellow, I would say get the yellow one, but my wife likes the red ones so she would say red, though she likes blue too. so either yellow, red, or blue. or perhaps the silver too. I have seen the white one in person and it does look great in the sunlight, so maybe you should get white, though in the shade the white does look less flashy. but if you dont want too flashy then maybe you should get the black. though 2004 is the last year for the yellow so they will be rare too. oh heck just buy 1 of each color......
I HOPE THIS HELPED!!

You say the car is coming in next week. Are black and grey the only colors coming in? If not, I retrack my last post.... GO FOR RED!

Ah! You beat me to it

Or, blue

Or, white (how's this look in the moonlight anyway?)

Or, yellow

Or, green

Or, silver

Or, grey

Or, black

(In that order)

I'm certain of this, trust me. :D

It shouldn't matter what we think you should get - we've already bought our cars and chosen the colour we prefer for ourselves. If you're just going by majority vote, then review the threads with polls that said "What colour is your 8?" and pick the colour that got the most votes!

YOU are going to own the car, and you should pick the colour that YOU prefer. What WE think shouldn't be a factor!

Regards,
Gordon

I agree it shouldnt matter what everyone else thinks...I wouldn't get a yellow just because everyone said its the colour i should get...I was just at the point where i was about to sign the papers, and was worried i was making a mistake with colour choice. thats all I decided on black BTW! thanks to everyone who posted advice.

Aw man, there is only one color to get for me...Yella , remember its the most desireable and rare color on the 3rd jen RX7 and hides water spots like white does, also discontinued after the 1 st year ie: more valueable!! Just go to a dealer and see for yourself how color affects the wierd body lines of this car, i still think the lines are best represented in silver, blue and lightning yellow...But thats just my opinion The only drawback to yellow is the high visibilty to your street going rivals, I'm attacked all the time from the rear when other sports cars merge onto the road...lol Cant race everyone... I have black. It looks fantastic if clean, but if you don't want to clean your car all the time, get titanium.

GOD FORBID that you ever get a hard water spot on a black car, especially Mazda's black. My last car was black. I debated on Silver and Tit. Glad I went Silver.

Talking

I went through similar indecision. Was helped in narrowing it down in that I had my heart set on the red and black interior! That meant Tit Gray, Red, Black or Silver.

I picked up my Tit Gray yesterday and have no regrets. I do think it will look the best even when not spotless...

Excellent choice. Just be ready to wash it every weekend and wipe the dust off every morning
