Post I'm stumped.

I've been looking around for a set of black rims with a lip that I can get painted tanish to match my interior. I don't like the rims that look pressed in, I don't know what to get! Does anybody have any suggestions on what I can start looking for? My budget is about $550.00-$600.00 for the rims.

I love the 5 spoke look.

Don't get a cheap set of wheels. 5-600 is not going to net you a legit set of wheels. Your going to need to at least double your price range.

Save up a bit.

Do some research.

Buy a set of wheels that will last and you will enjoy.

Alright so a grand would be a decent amount to spend to get something good? Powercoating for the tanish lip is going to cost me more + the rubber. My goal is to get rims, tires, tint + interior, trunk amber LED lights before summer starts. Hopefully the Mazdaspeed spoiler as well.

I'll check out some more expensive rims and see what I find.

Check out some popular brands like Enkei, 5zigen, some used Work wheels, Axis, Advan.

Also, most people go wider than the stock 18x8 +50. Something in the 18x8.5 to 18x9.5 would be a good option.

I thought about getting cheaper rims powdercoated once.... add it up and between the money and time/effort pain in the butt bringing rims in getting unmounted/remounted/whatever just save up and get some nice rims, yeah a grand will get you some really good stuff. Look around for rims that are "Barely used" but tecnically not new so they are cheap. it's a win/win :-)

I purchased a set of AXIS Shines. they were in my price range and look ok. SF challenge would have been my other choice. search around. dont go with steel wheels. weight is a big issue.
