Im new, just browsing!

Hello Everyone. My names Dave, and im from NJ. Just about to turn 20, and im looking for my first RX8..or so I think. Ive owned a lot of cars, but I started to like the RX8 now. I have about $15K to spend, so Im hoping to find a nice car for that price. I like the winning blue and the charcoal silver (sorry i forget the name) or white. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and tell you that the forums have been a great help for me. A ton of info here! Thanks a lot...hopefully I'll be posting pictures of MY rx8 soon.

Get either the WB or the WWP! They look sooo nice in person, and stand out alot more than the silver.

We have meets every Tuesday night in East Rutherford, NJ. Always a good turnout.

Check out our thread in the NE forums. We meet at the Starbucks next to Lowes on RT17.

Motorvated, I just got my RX8 on friday from AutoLenders in Toms River. They had another one there. Same price as I got mine for but I talked them down a little.

They've got a 2004 Silver RX8 with 20,000 miles on it for 16,995. But only downside is its automatic. I snaked the 6spd manual RX8 they had there.

Its not too terribly far from Medford. Shoot up Rt. 70 to 37. Take Rt 37 down a few miles. Autolenders is on the left about a mile or so past Hooper Ave. Its past most of the other dealerships, go past the Mazda dealership, the Toyota Dealership and Saturn dealership. Its about a half mile past Toyota if your interested in an automatic version. I know they still have it. Drove past there today.

BTW, I like every freaking color 8! Even yellow is growing on me.
I guess it will come down to...What I can find for a good price with a 6 speed. COlor doesnt matter much, i like them all!! White/yellow are my favorites though. Man, these cars are just awesome looking!

yeah. I didn't want to go the automatic route, even though I couldn't drive stick when I paid for the car. I've put about 120 miles on the car this weekend teaching myself to drive it. Now i'm not bad at driving it at all. I'm actually pretty good with it. But I still have my noobish mistakes when shifting. I still stall like once a day. But i'm getting better. Only way to get better is to keep trying.

I was just putting it out there. That theres at least one 8 that I know of for sale. Since the other one is now sitting in my driveway.

You can get a great deal on rx8s nowadays. Try the private party route. I bought mine from a meticulous owner. 15,000 miles 2004 Grand Touring MT for $16000... even came with a set of blizzaks and rims. I took it for an oil change at the dealer the other day and the service manager recognized the car right away. He told me that I bought a very very well cared for car. So, if you buy from private party, have it inspected at a local Mazda dealer like I did, $90 for some peace of mind. I also think I got really lucky because this guy had a file with every single service record in it, all done by a dealer. Even had the original window sticker and brochures! Private party=better prices and sometimes better cared for vehicles. Check out craigslist or ebay ads for 8s in your area. I know there is always a ton of cars being sold in the northeast.

Heck even if you buy from a used car lot... still have it inspected. Those places can be pretty shady sometimes. Make sure all the recalls are done, etc... Good luck with the hunt!

Good choice sticking to the MT's. Look for the GT package with leather..........the cost won't be much more.

We have a Brilliant Black (see photos) mainly because it was the best exterior color to go with the two tone black/beige leather interior.

Just my opinion but the black/beige or black/red just don't look as well with the silver or white or blue.
