Ideal idle rpm?

Ok so I searched for a while and never really got a good sense of what to set the idle at.
Seems common to raise idle to reduce bearing wear?
Is this correct or just a myth. I have a series two I got with 13k on it and switched to amsoil 0w40.
this was a fun car driven hard in the street. And I made two track days.
So I’m going with versa tune in the next month. My plan is to reduce the omp and up my premix for obvious reasons of 4 stroke not burning as throughly as two stroke. When looking at the versa tune seems that raising the idle is very common.
So how and why does the low idle wear bearings? I assume oil pressure. Now this car is gonna be seeing the track much more and it does idle a good amount before and after sessions. So I’d like to know how crucial this is and what rpm would be ideal.
Also will be starting to run amsoil 5w50 mainly to streamline the oil I have. All my cars will then be running the same oil.
Thanks in advance.

FWIW the S2 has higher oil pressure to begin with. As far as I know, problems at low regimes isn't so much about the low regime itself, as it is about oil dilution from a lot of time spent in warmup enrichment and not getting the temperatures and pressures up to self-cleaning. Common in low-speed traffic-bound daily cars.

That said, MM set mine around 900 to smooth out the warm idle vibration and A/C kick, and it's noticeably more pleasant.

Hey thank you very much. That’s what I was looking for. I do run the series two filter because of that. Was hoping it was cleaned up for series two.
For the record amsoil is amazing at providing lube as fuel dilution gets higher. Same problem exists with the ecoboost with di. Lots of timing chain wear from cheap oil. Pretty much any direct injection as friends gm also had chain issues with cheap oil.
I should be good to go then as I never ran my oil more than 2,000 miles.
When it needed a 1/2 to 1 quart I’d change it because I was beating it.
That 5w50 could probably be thinned out anyhow and be good.
Thanks again.
took it out yesterday after a long winter storage. Added a extra 8oz premix and topped off before storage. Put the shoria lithium battery on the trickle all winter. I didn’t have power for 9 hours yesterday so I rolled it out and it fired right up. Warmed it up then drove slow for a bit. Then got a few huge burnouts done and back away. Smokes a bit more now with double the premix.
