I would like to strut

What I really mean is, I would like the hood to be held up by gas pressurized struts as opposed to the "stick in the hood".

It's easier to open and close the hood and keeps the "stick" out of the way.

Minor niggles tho.

Struts cost you money, as they wear out (I plan on keeping my RX-8 for a long time). A stick will be there as long as the car is.

I closed the hood when I saw the 8 at southbeach. The hood is light that i think a baby could lift it. Must be less then 10 pounds. Thats what it felt like

Yeah, what he said.

Seriously, it is the lightest hood that I've ever touched on a factory car. The prop for it seemed to be well designed and difficult to accidently knock out of place, but that may have been for the shows and not final production.
