Wrong. It can cost as little as $800 (if you do the labor yourself) to rebuild a rotary engine. Ask me how I know. Ask any piston person if they can do a FULL ENGINE REBUILD with accurate tolerances (not reusing crappy parts) for less than $1000...

If you pay a shop to do it, if you don't go to someone who wayyy over prices, you can get a quality rebuild with port for about $2000. Again, ask any piston person.
