I want to rent an RX8!
Re: "Rent an RX8". Very interesting responses. I surely understand everyone's fear of a scam. However, I've located a car and I will be taking photos IN the owner's presence without removing the car. I need to view an undamaged undercarriage opposed to the very damaged one I currently have. Thanks for the education.

Well, yeah - but I wouldn't consider "Here's $400 bucks, give me the keys - I'll bring it back in a few hours" legit.
If it's just a matter of showing up at a location (well lit, public - legit type of place) and hang around while the shoot is done, then it's worth the $$$.

I would see what the conditions are, if he wants you to just hand him the keys then he can go suck a big one. If you get to watch then it wouldn't be bad at all.

Just rent out the rx8 with a safety deposit of:
1: drivers license
2: birth certificate
3: 40,000 cash
4: his car, keys
5: his kids, gf, or applicable cherished family member
6: house keys
7: finger prints
8: signed legal agreement stating that if the car is not returned in %100 same condition, you get to keep all of the above (the family member is optional).

Can somebody tell me how this scam works? Suppose he gives me a cheque for 1000$. I put it in the bank. Once the money is transferred to my account only then I give his $600 back!. Now how does that get me into trouble?
