not me. We were burned 4 times by Audi/Volkswagen. There is a reason for a 24 month warranty and non transferrable.

VW's bumper to bumper warranty is now at 4 years, 50000 miles, and is fully transferable. Their powertrain warranty however is down to 5 years, where it used to be 10.

I almost bought a VW Passat 1.8T sedan, loved the exterior and the interior is top-notch. Same mechanicals as the Audi 1.8T and costing less too. The coil-pack failures on the 1.8T engine that I have been reading on the VW forums really scared me away from the brand. They have great designs, and their interiors (together with Audi) are the envy of the auto-world, but it seems that VW/Audi cars are plagued with electrical gremlins.

That sports car concept looks gourgeous though.

glad to hear they joined the rest of the auto world. I just hope the cars can make it that long.

We had major problems with the cars we owned - not minor things and my father, being a mechanic, literally ended up having to redesign some poor recurring breakage stuff on 2 of them. The audi's brain blew and the replacement was $1500. Anyway, they scare me. ALL of them had electrical problems too.

Ouch! Thanks for sharing your experiences RodsterinFL. Glad I did not take the plunge. The VW dealers in my area are the best, warm, friendly, non-pushy sales people that dont bad-mouth the other brands. Its too bad that the product itself has some flaws. I have a co-worker that loved her VW Jetta and it was pretty reliable, so I dunno... but in your case since it happened to you 4 times, that would turn me off too.
