I think my 8 is leaking water...?

I park in the garage and look under the car. There is something dripping into a small puddle somewhere near the exhaust manifold/header.
When I first saw it a few weeks ago, I thought it was oil that spilled when I was topping off. I now know it's not oil or coolant. I touched it and soaked some up with a paper towel. It has no color, no smell, it's not sticky, doesn't leave any stains and was barely warm to the touch.

What could it be? Something with the A/C? I'm not too worried about it since I know it's not oil or coolant, but I can't help but wonder...

It's an 09, if that makes any difference.

It's just the condensation from your A/C.
Have you never driven a car with A/C before?
When it stops dripping, then be worried as it means your condensation line is plugged up!

If you've been running the A/C, I will almost promise that it is condensation. Kinda like the "sweat" that forms on the outside of a cold drink in the sun.

You might want to have a shop check your H2O sensor.

Or your fallopian tubes could be bad.

haha. ok. so I'm just being uneducatated and paranoid.

I've driven A/C cars before, but not none that I cared about enough to be concerned over (or even check for) small leaks. The only car I have ever bothered to maintain (prior to the 8) is my RX-7, which has no a/c. If it had, I would have discovered this long ago.

I must say I'm far more aware of what's going on in my 8 than any other car I've owned.

Nope, it's been asked before believe it or not.
Speaking about the condensation...not the fallopian tubes.............

I thought I was rather civil in my first response.

I was considering the "Wall of shame" for the real question the OP asked about. (ha ha)

Anyway.......I guess we should be happy that he or she at least spotted it and checked! Hey, what if the OP is a she? Check the username.

AND.............I still see them in this thread reading!

Yeah, while it could be, I wouldn't slam a guy quite that hard. Made me chuckle, though. There are times when I see it dripping, and I point to my 8 and say, "That had better be condensation, young lady!" Ok, I've said too much.

I'm not a total car noob, I've just never had to deal with the A/C before, so this is new to me. On my RX-7, I've done maintenance/repairs myself on many parts involving oil, fuel, coolant, intake, suspension, brakes, paint, and electronics. But it has no A/C.

Now, if i ever get a piston car then I'll really be a noob since I've never worked on one.

I know. I just wanted to make it clear that I'm simply inexperienced, not completely stupid.

I do agree that it's funny. How I lived this long without knowing about A/C condensation I do not I know.

I recently drove to colorado and back and on the way back I was about 400 miles from vegas and noticed the same thing. There was a puddle under my car and I about **** right there, was really happy when I noticed it was just water. I figured at the time it was just water from the ac since it was on at that point for many hours straight and it was like 105 degrees out.

Glad someone posted this though just the confirm it, as I have never had this happen on any car before. Then again I've never lived in places that get above 100 regularly either, so that might be why.
