I used to have an RX8 and miss it dearly. I might get one again.

I am trying to figure out what trim level it is. I think that because it has the fog lights, its a sport package, but I am hoping that someone here can confirm. I am going to email the seller as well.

If I get this, I am setting it up fully for B-Stock, so I only want a sport package. Assuming this is a sport package, it still has the demerit of the nav system- any ideas on how much the nav system weighs? I'm searching now, and if I find the answer I'll delete the question, because I know there used to be some cranky guys on here that like to point out the search button :p I'm using it!

 

fog lights and spoiler probably mean it's a GT or at least a touring. the sport model is the most basic trim level. nav is an option. it's not standard on any trim level.

if you want the lightest one, get the sport model. not sure if that one has dsc though.

 

There's no sunroof, so I think that means it can't be a touring or grand touring. DSC is part of sport package and above, I'm sure of that.

Think is, I've convinced myself in the last 10 minutes that I don't want to buy from a used car dealer on Ebay. When I got ready to hit the bid button, I just felt funny. I need it to be from a private seller, and I need to see the car first.

SO- I'm still looking, but I think I've decided against this one.

 

it's definitely a sports trim. sport added DSC, TC, LSD, xenon, and fogs. touring added the moonroof, and GT added the leather basically. nav and spoiler were both options.

I know I know.... I really like the color. But I will wait for one to come up that I can go see before buying, and that isn't from a used car salesman. But yeah, the Nordic Green looks awfully nice.

 

oh i totally agree. i would not buy a car without seeing it first; forget the color.

 

I've never met anyone who bought a car sight unseen off of eBay. Seems fraught with potential problems.

I have an '06 Sports model with all of this:
- Xenon HID

- Fog lights
- Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) with Traction Control System (TCS)
- Tochigi Fuji torque-sensing limited-slip differential
- 18-inch wheels and tires
- Larger front brakes
- Sport-tuned suspension

Plus I got the rear wing and Rotary Accent package added on.

 

base 6-speeds had all of this except the lights. all the sport package added to the 6speed was lights, fogs and DSC.

- Larger front brakes *I've looked and it seemed like the rotors were larger up front*
- Sport-tuned suspension *Iunno about that.*

It has a wing, not sure what "Rotary Accents" are.

In '07 Mazda changed it from Sport Package to Performance Package
-(6-speed-manual): Self-leveling Xenon HID low-beam headlights
- fog lights
- Dynamic Stability Control with Traction Control System


The Rotary Accents are the silver "rotary" things on the front and rear lower bumpers.
