Where I live 25mph on the freeway is common during rush hours; it's caused by waaaayyyy too many people on the roads.

If I set my cruz at 65mph I have got 27.5mpg, but its too hard to do hour after hour. So I have more fun and am happy with 21mpg. My best is 29.5mpg at 55mph. That is real hard to do along with the big slow trucks, but I was curious what it could do.

I'm happy for my 17.6 overall mileage. Drive it like you don't care, mileage is overrated.

I get 25 mpg on the highway, everyone should. 6th gear @ 70 mph with the windows up and a/c off.

Any chance your battery was disconnected or ECU was otherwise reset? Whenever that happens, I always get a boost in MPG. There're even owners who have a special switch, just to disconnect the battery every few days, before the ECU can relearn the over rich tune. I can see how Old Rotor got those numbers, but there's no way you can safely drive < a constant 75-80, let alone 55, in SoCal without attracting some major road rage!

Your correct, it cant be done just anywhere. I tried it on some hwys but most of the time the slow lane was moving to fast. It only worked on hwys that had big slow trucks, you know the ones we hate to drive on. The best thing about the 8 is the handleing and driveing near the red line. That is our problem, or we can look at it as "Enjoy Your Weakness" and feel sorry for the rest of them....
