I just saw a National Car Rental RX8!

I am so going to head down tomorrow to see how much it is to rent one. Drive the **** out of it, pending they have a 6 speed. I am located in BC, Canada. Local National here also has a drop top eclipse and some other decent cars.

Hmmm, I wonder if it's a buyback car. Seems that with how few RX-8s made it to Canada, that it would be all that shocking if Mazda sold off a lot of the buybacks to a rental company at a discounted price. If you do rent or check it out get a Vin#, would be really interesting to see it's title history.

What is with everyone saying so few RX-8s made it. I really regret I didn't take a picture of this one red RX8,6speed, fully loaded 4 months ago. Cause it is still sitting at the dealership. along with a couple of silver ones. They really aren't moving. I've seen like 10 mazda3s thought

Maybe Mazda has shipped more RX-8s to Canada then they originally planned. Or maybe there is just very very little demand in Canada. But I know what you mean about them not moving, at least here in the Milwaukee area that's the case as well. But not many people go car shopping in Jan. and Feb. around here.

That's Mazda Canada saying it - long ago, they announced that there would only be 700 RX-8s available in Canada for the 2004 model. Compared to 25K or 30K in the US, that's not very many at all, and in many Canadian markets the RX-8 allocation is sold out and people are waiting for the 2005s.

Gordon

Considering how many rx8s are currently sitting at dealerships, they will be selling for very cheap before too long, and yes there will be tons of them on the road. That's just the way it is. If you wanted to buy a unique car, you found one, if you wanted a rare car, not a chance in hell.

These months are the slowest months for car buying. Wait till summer comes around. A few of my friends are car salesman and they tell me they can't give cars away in Dec, Jan, Feb. I am sure that something to do with the extras.
