It measures speed.....

You start it and go for one mile and when you hit the one mile mark you stop the chronograph function. Where ever it stops , that is your actual speed.

Do you want it $2000 worth?

I contacted Watchbuys about that one a few months back, and I believe the lowest price they could offer was $1850. I just wish I could afford one!

Watches are another expensive hobby of mine. $2000 for the Sinn is not bad.

But why are some of the speeds painted in red?

2k's a little pricey for me, I'm more in line with the $25 knockoff. Still don't understand the bezel numbers/speed gauge, whatever they are.... but it is a cool watch.

Those are the dangerous speeds. 170, 200 and 250 are okay, but it's dangerous to cruise at any other speed between 160 and 300. Once you cross 300 you're in the zone and it's all good!

The red and black differences appear to help you tell which dot the number corresponds to. Notice the colors change only where there could be some confusion.

Great watch! I never knew there was an RX-8 watch!

I've seen the "car" watches like the Breitling Bentley & Gerard Perregaux watches...now there's one for the RX-8!

Is this a limited edition Sinn? (if so how many pieces?)

The one pictured is not a limited edition but it is limited production......

but in Germany the first 888 RX-8 owners received this watch with a red rotor and red hands. That was a limited edtion watch.

Can you please post the reference/model number of the watch? I'll have to check if the local watch dealers can get hold of one in my country. Thanks!
