I think my biggest concern with a hydraulic driven car is the fact that hydraulic fluid is highly flammable and must operate under high pressure in order to get any real use out of it. Yes, you could debate and say that gasoline is flammable as well, but gasoline is only highly flammable when vaporized. Hydraulic fluid doesn't have to be vaporized in order to still be flammable. Just a thought. I definitely like the idea that there are people out there thinking outside of the box to come up with alternatives to gas powered cars.

we have 20 gallon 2,000 psi accumulators at work... they are about 5 feet tall, a foot in diameter, and weight over 300lbs.

Hydraulic accumulators and sports cars do not mix at all.
