Good news!

Your local Mazda dealer has submitted your request to Mazda for your 2004 Mazda RX-8—the sports car bred from bloodlines of the legendary RX-7. The next step is for the factory in Japan to process and confirm your order. This normally takes place within 45 days of your production month. We will send you a notification email once this process is complete.

Received my email. What does "within 45 days of production month" mean? Is our production month March; or when we first ordered in January?

Got mine - I pre-ordered on Day 1

 

Got mine today...I am wet with anticipation.

 

i pre-ordered day one also. the site wouldn't work for me from home at about 1:30 am so i got back up and into work at 6:30 am and did the order here. went to my dealer the same day and for severaldays after until i was convinced that it was ordered. blah blah blah. you can read the whole thing if you search my posts but i still don't have an email go@@%mit

 

Got mine today too, ordered mine on the 28th January and the dealer placed the order on the 29th.

Blue with black, everything but navigation.

 

I didn't get the email. This totally sucks! I am going to have to get on the phone tommorow and find out about this.

Me too. I thought it had to do with the fact that I added the navi yesterday and got a new confirmation number.

I'm glad to see I am as up to date as everyone else.

I do not have mine. But it appears mostly West Coast have reported receiving the email, though one in Florida said so also. I'll give it another day... although it kinda hurts that someone who ordered on Jan 28th would have it before any of us who had our orders in 3 weeks earlier.

 

As a fellow East Coast dweller I sincerely hope that is the reason I didn't get the email!!

 

I received my e-mail this morning -- while I am not on the East coast, I am in Alabama.

Hopefully within a day or two your confirmation will arrive.

Right now I feel like Clark Griswold in Christmas Vacation waiting for my Christmas bonus to arrive!!!!!!!!!! There better be NO jelly of the month club memberships in my near future.

 

My guess on this one would be that the dealership had an empty allocation for their 1st preorders and sent in an order anyways, and when you came in to order they just submitted a change request on that one, so the original order date was back on the 13th or so. Just a guess though.

as for the "within 45 days of production month" thing. The "production month" IS APRIL. please just understand it and live with it my order shows a "production date" of April 1st. (so says my dealer :D ) so I would say that the "within 45 days" email could come basicly between within a few days til almost April, because we are 6 - 7 weeks away from April and that is our production month.

Please correct me if you have evidence that I am wrong (read proof, not speculation )


Oh and yes, I did get my 2nd email WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
